World Down Syndrome day

This week we observed World Down Syndrome day by wearing odd socks, selling gingerbread sock biscuits and taking part in a loose change challenge (winning class announced next week). Thank you very much for supporting us in raising money for Cheshire Down Syndrome.
We also had an assembly from Yvonne who works at the charity. She taught us all about Down Syndrome and the significance of the ‘sock’ as a symbol to represent the condition. We all spent some time reflecting on Inclusion and what it looks like – removing barriers for those who have them.
