WI visit

Today we were joined by Jill, Mags and Marilyn from the Hough WI. They spoke to the whole school about what the Women's Institute do and in particular about their role in the national climate change initiative, Show the Love. They generously donated a green heart tree, which the WI made in their craft sessions from recycled and reused materials. In the assembly, the children made pledges around such things plastic and energy use, in order to have a positive impact on climate change. We will place the tree in a central location to remind the children of the role all of us play in shaping the future of our planet. We hope to welcome Jill, Mags, Marilyn and the WI back to Weston soon.
