Our local PCSOs, Lizzie and Matt, came into school this morning to deliver an assembly to the children in key stage two. They covered lots of aspects of safety including some important messaging around knives. The children all paid close attention, had some useful discussions and made some excellent contributions to the assembly. Ask your child what they learnt.
The PCSOs also spoke about an app, which is available on app store and google play, that may be useful for children now and certainly as they get older. It is called Hollie Guard and is operated by a tap or a shake (depending on the configuration). This alerts a nominated emergency contact with your location and video/audio. There are other features too. It is being heavily promoted by the police and is worth taking a look at.
