Our Weston Buddies
One of the things that makes Weston special is the way our oldest and youngest children look out for each other. Each year, our Year 6 pupils are paired with our new Reception children as buddies.
This partnership helps our Reception children settle in with a friendly face to guide them, while giving our Year 6s the chance to be role models and live out our Secrets of Success – especially Understand Others and Don’t Give Up.
It's been lovely to see the blossoming relationships among the buddies – lots of smiles, support and new friendships beginning. These relationships will grow throughout the year in playtimes, special activities and whole-school events. We asked the Reception children about their buddies.
