Food Technology

For their Food Technology unit, Aqua class have been exploring, tasting and researching many different types of global dishes and ingredients from all over the world. As their outcome, the children decided to focus on Mexican food and in particular, Mexican Nachos!
They decided their ingredients, worked to a budget and designed how their dish would be presented. They found recipes and decided which skills they would be using while creating their dish.
What a fantastic job they did!
Each group made both a Guacamole and a Salsa dip, and their Nacho dish. They used a variety of cookery skills such as grating, slicing, chopping, juicing, sprinkling and presenting.
The children thoroughly enjoyed the lesson, especially the tasting of their masterpieces at the end!
Well done Aqua, a fantastic outcome from every one of you. I hope you can do this again to treat your families at home.
