First whole school assembly today in 624 days!

We had our first whole school assembly today in 624 days! It was to mark a very important week in the school calendar - anti-bullying week. Today we are wearing odd socks to promote the fact that we are all different and all equal - equally deserving of kindness and respect. We spent time in assembly talking about what bullying is and what it isn't. The children were able to say lots of ways that they can promote our school's anti-bullying culture, including using kind words and actions including online, not excluding others, calling out bullying behaviour and talking to TED and adults in school and at home.
Miss Bell and the Safeguarding Ambassadors announced the winners of our anti-bullying poster competition - Esmé S, Olivia L, Isla C and Jessica C have all won a book each.
Ask your child what they have learnt today about bullying, how it affects people, what we can do about it and how they have been kind today.
