Coronation of King Charles III

On Wednesday 3rd May the children will participate in an action-packed day celebrating the Coronation of King Charles III.
We will be marking this historical event in a number of ways:
We ask for all children to come into school dressed and Kings or Queens or, if they would prefer, in red, white and blue. Each class will crown a class King and Queen following a whole school costume parade.
Friends of Weston have kindly organised a range of activities on the field which all children will have the opportunity to enjoy. This will include a bouncy castle, assault course and some lawn games.
At lunchtime the entire school will eat a picnic together on the field. The school kitchen will be offering a special picnic lunch for those who would like a school dinner on this day (see ParentPay letter for details).
All children have been asked (via class dojo) to create a portrait of King Charles III using any media they like. All entries will be included in a Weston Village Primary ‘Pop Up’ art exhibition that the children can enjoy. Please can all entries be brought into school by Friday 28th April, and ensure all entries are named. The Year 6 ambassadors will choose a winning portrait from each year group which will be displayed more permanently in the school building.
We look forward to sharing a fun filled, celebratory day with the children to mark this historical event.
