Caravaggio!

As part of their art unit on Fruit and Vegetables, the children explored colour mixing, brush techniques, and light and tone – all while carefully studying real fruits and vegetables like oranges, strawberries and red cabbages.

They looked at how Caravaggio used light and shadow in his still life paintings, then created their own masterpieces, paying close attention to detail, shape and texture. The results were brilliantly bold and beautifully blended!

We’re so impressed with their growing artistic confidence – Caravaggio would be proud!
