Blackbirds Class Measuring Clouds!

This week, our Blackbirds class stepped outside for an exciting Geography lesson as part of their unit on Water and the Water Cycle. Using grids and their keen observational skills, the children measured cloud cover, learning how meteorologists use fractions to estimate what they see in the sky! ☁️📏
They explored key processes in the water cycle, such as evaporation, condensation, and precipitation, and discovered the different types of clouds and what they tell us about the weather – from fluffy cumulus clouds to towering cumulonimbus! 🌦️
The lesson brought their learning to life and showed how geography connects us to the world around us. A fantastic hands-on experience for our young geographers! 🌍✨
