A Different Kind of Brilliant

We spend time in school learning about neurodiveristy and the idea that people can experience, interact and interpret the world in different ways and that this is normal. Some of our younger children have been learning about autism through the book ‘A Different Kind of Brilliant’. This book helped the children understand what autism is and learn how many successful people have used their uniquely wired brains to change the world for the better.
It also helped the children to better understand and support autistic classmates or siblings and also promoted discussion and understanding about celebrating differences.
Here is a YouTube version of the book that we used.
