School Visitors

The children in Purple Class have been working hard to learn different ways of classifying animals. On Tuesday they had some special visitors in school - a brood of chicks. The children used their knowledge of the characteristics of birds to make careful observations. They looked at how young birds develop feathers, the bird's beak, and wings. They asked insightful questions and loved carefully handling them after listening carefully to the safety and hygiene briefing.
