Happy New Year to all our parents and families!

We are ready to embark on our new PSHE and citizenship curriculum and the focus for the whole school this half term is 'Living in the Wider World'.

In our whole school assembly this morning, we looked at an issue that affects the wider world - climate change. Based on the overwhelming scientific consensus regarding climate change, we looked at the causes and effects, including extreme weather and related issues such as the terrible bushfires that are sweeping Australia. We considered what we could do about it.

Since the assembly, lots of children have spoken quite passionately of their feelings about climate change. If they don't raise it at home, please do ask them and encourage their outward-looking sensibilities.
